We am writing this letter to explain my poor set of circumstances that have caused us to become late on our payments on our mortgage. I have done everything in our power to make ends meet but unfortunately we have can’t pay and would like you to consider working with us to receive a loan modification. Our number one hope is to keep our home and we would really appreciate the chance to save our home.

The main reason that caused us to be late is we had a family illness. Soon after being late and our cashflow not being nearly enough, we had fallen further and further behind. Now, it’s to the point where we cannot afford to pay what is owed to our bank. It is our full intention to pay what we owe. But at this time we have exhausted all of our income and resources so we are turning to you for help.

The situation has not got better because we have been unable to find work and we feel that a loan modification would benefit us both. We would appreciate if you can work with us to lower our foreclosured amount owed and or payment so we can keep our home and also afford to make amends with your financial institution.

We truly hope that you will consider working with us and we are anxious to get this settled so we all can move on.

We am writing this letter to explain my saddening set of circumstances that have caused us to become past due on our mortgage. My household have done everything in our power to make ends meet but unfortunately we have have no more money to pay and would like you to consider working with us to modify our mortgage. Our number one hope is to keep our home and we would really appreciate the ability to save our family’s future.

The main reason that caused us to be late is we had a death in the family. After we became late on our payments and our cashflow not being nearly enough, we had fallen further and further behind. Now, it‚Äôs been to the point we’ve exhausted all our other options where we cannot afford to pay what is owed to the mortgage company. It is our full intention to pay what we owe. But at this time we have exhausted all of our income and resources so we are turning to you for help.

On this day.

Our perilous point has not got better because we have no more money and have no jobs and we feel that a loan modification would benefit us both. We would appreciate if you can work with us to lower our past due balance amount owed and or payment so we can keep our home and also afford to make amends with your financial institution.

We truly hope that you will consider working with us and we are anxious to get this settled so we all can move on.

You can’t expect a bank that is dumb enough to sue itself to know why it is suing itself.

Yet I could not resist asking Wells Fargo Bank NA why it filed a civil complaint against itself in a mortgage foreclosure case in Hillsborough County, Fla.

“Due to state foreclosure laws, lenders are obligated to name and notify subordinate lien holders,” said Wells Fargo spokesman Kevin Waetke.

In this particular case, Wells Fargo holds the first and second mortgages on a condominium, according to Sarasota, Fla., attorney Dan McKillop, who represents the condo owner.

As holder of the first, Wells Fargo is suing all other lien holders, including the holder of the second, which is itself.

“The primary reason is to clear title and ownership interest in a property to prepare it for sale,” Waetke said in an email exchange. “So it really is not Wells Fargo vs. Wells Fargo.”

Yet court documents clearly label “Wells Fargo Bank NA” as the plaintiff and “Wells Fargo Bank NA” as a defendant.

Wells Fargo hired Florida Default Law Group., P.L., of Tampa, Fla., to file the lawsuit against itself.

And then Wells Fargo hired another Tampa law firm — Kass, Shuler, Solomon, Spector, Foyle & Singer P.A. — to defend itself against its own lawsuit, according to court documents.

For banks, it has been a great business. They have received billions of dollars in Government bailouts and have done nothing for the American taxpayer.

The loan modifications that the Obama administration has been so vocal about have not been happening. It was supposed to be as simple as sending in a loan modification hardship letter and your bank records, and receiving the modification you need to save your home, but it hasn’t happened. So now, Secretary Paulson has scheduled another meeting with the banks on July 28th.

The following is a passage from the recent New York Times article:

the letter demanded that representatives from the top 25 mortgage servicers assemble in Washington on July 28. It is likely to be every bit as painful for them as that Paulson meeting last October was for the bank C.E.O.’s.

The subject of the meeting is going to be loan modifications. Specifically, the government is going to be asking — in none-too-friendly fashion — why the nation’s big servicers aren’t doing more to modify loans for homeowners who are in danger of defaulting on their mortgages.
